Embroidery
WWS fee + Materials 
Traditional embroidery has become very popular again. We have a nice collection of embroidery patterns, many of which you may remember from days gone by. Learn the different methods of transferring your pattern to a tea towel or other piece of fabric as well as  the many options you have for fibers. Stem, back, lazy daisy stitches and french knots will be taught and practiced in class.
Charted Needlepoint
WWS fee + Materials 
Learn the basics of charted needlepoint. The instructor will assist you in selecting the appropriate design, fabric & fibers for a beginner. This discipline also involves learning how to read patterns, center your design on the canvas, how to work with unique fibers and beginning and ending each color. 
Hardanger
WWS fee + Materials (requires two sessions)
A two-part class teaching the basics of Hardanger.  You will learn the Klosters, Cutting, Weaving, as well as the Cable Stitch.  By the end of the two sessions you will have the basics of Hardanger and a lovely piece that can be a Christmas ornament or a scissor fob.

Tatting

Instruction only offered as a One on One Class. Do you want to learn Tatting, expand your current skills, learn new stitches? This is your opportunity to do just that!!!

Lacing & Framing
WWS fee + Materials (this requires a two sessions)
One on One Instruction Only - A two-part class teaching how to measure, clean, stretch & lace your project. Hands on class -  you will need to bring a finished cross stitch or needlepoint project to the first class.

Things are changing at Kelsey's
We have restructured how we offer your learning experience. We are replacing S4D with WWS -  The "Wonderful World of Stitching". The learning  opportunities described below are being offered as reasonably priced classes - for a single individual the cost is $20 per hour.  Do you have a group of friends who are interested in learning a new technique? If so, the price is an additional $15 per person and we will extend the length of the class 1/2 hour per person. Class prices do not include materials.  
Linen Snobbery
WWS fee + Materials 
Do you want to move from stitching on Aida to stitching on linen or evenweave? If so, this is the class for you!!
Learn the basics of working with these types of fabric as well as tips and tricks to enhance and perfect the look of your project.


Cross Stitch

WWS fee + Materials

Learn the basics of cross stitching. With the instructor's assistance you will learn how to  select the appropriate design, fabric and fibers for your first piece and how to read patterns, center your design on the fabric, how to work with embroidery floss, and how to begin and end each color. Most importantly, you will learn the basic cross stitch and back stitch.

Huck Weaving
WWS fee + Materials 
Huck weaving was extremely popular during the 1940's & 50's. It made a resurgence again in 2001 when Martha Stewart showcased the technique on one of her shows. These towels make unique and wonderful hostess gifts for the holidays. Learn how to read a pattern, center the design and complete a towel.
