We are now carrying Periwinkle Promises designs, these are wonderful little kits done in silk on linen. They are a great opportunity to try new stitches and fibers. Most of the designs we picked up are her accent pieces which make into cute little pillows. She also carries a line of stitching accessories.

Coming soon are frames from Serindipity Frames. We will have a wide selection of frames from 4 x 4 to 8 x 10.

The Victoria Sampler - Alphabet Sampler Series

Come in and see “A” Stitched

This year Thea Dueck of The Victoria Sampler has started a series of samplers that show case the Alphabet. The first design is “A is for Angel”, the second is “B is for Bride”. One of my new years resolution was to stitch a design that I would normally not select. I have never had an interest in samplers, so this was the perfect challenge for me. New Years Eve Kelsey and I gathered the materials and while watching the Rose Parade on the 1st I began stitching this sampler. The traditional spot motifs depict items that begin with “A”, additionally, most of the specialty stitches names also begin with the letter “A”. To say the least I had a wonderful time stitching away the day as well as the 2nd. The stitches were fun and extremely well diagramed. The fibers are silks, cottons, overdyes, beads, and metallics which are available in an accessory pack. The design is stitched on a 28 count linen and can be completed as a bellpull or wall hanging with all 26 letters. “X, Y &Z” will be on one sampler.
