Come join the fun and learn to make tassels and cords.  They add a wonderful dimension to your projects.  See examples of how and when tassels can be used with stitched pieces.shapeimage_2_link_0
 
Stitching 4 Dummys
NEW 1st Saturday of every month Starting in May.
Never stitched before and want to learn.  Cannot remember how to do that?  Want to learn how to do a new stitch? This is for you. It is a set of classes designed for you to come and ask those questions you felt too stupid to ask or learn a new technique. (remember according to Sue there are NO stupid questions)  She is right!!!!
We will offer:
9-11 am - CROSS STITCH  
12-2 pm - EMBROIDERY
2-4 pm - NEEDLEPOINT
Fee for each session is $20 plus materials.  There is no minimum for this class so come and get a 1 on 1 lesson if no one else shows up. Must sign up and pay one week in advance.shapeimage_3_link_0
 
 
Introduction to Temari Balls
Learn the history of Temari thread balls while transforming a thread covered Styrofoam into a beautiful design. Price of classs includes one pre-wrapped Styrofoam ball.

Taking the “Hard” out of Hardanger
Week 1 will cover materials, Kloster Blocks and Cable stitch.  Week 2 Cutting, Needle weaving, and Dove’s Eyes.  Please bring a pair of small scissors with a fine point.shapeimage_6_link_0
Lacing & Framing - 2 session
Two part class teaches how to measure, clean, stretch and lace your project.  Hands on class, you will need to prepare a completed cross-stitch piece for framing.shapeimage_7_link_0
What the Heck is “Huck”?
A simple quick form of surface embroidery that has been around for centuries.  In the 30’s & 40’s very popular on towels, come in and see samples done by my grandmother,  great  grand-mother, and Kelsey.shapeimage_8_link_0

Each classes builds on the previous class techniques - Perquisite - Temari Balls Introduction.  Last class will cover finishing, tassel making, Dragonfly creation, and embellishments.

Children’s Classes 
Embroidery, Cross-Stitch and Needlepoint Classes for the young stitcher.  Designed for ages 8 and up, we encourage parents of the younger ones to stay, if this is their child’s first experience with needlework.  The first class will be a design of their own, embroidered on a dish towel.  Leaning to do stem stitch, lazy daisy, and other basic stitches.  The second class will introduce them to counted cross-stitch on 11 count Aida.  The third class will cover needlepoint on 13 or 14 count canvas.  Each class is $20.00 or all three for $45.00.
