Copyright, be careful of that good deal on the web or Facebook. A good customer recently came in the shop and told us the following story.

She had agreed to swap a pattern with another stitcher, she received a pattern photocopy from a well known designer. Being aware of copyright laws, she contacted the person and told her she would not be sending a pattern in return or paying her any money.
